The Alienware AW3420DW is an excellent ultrasound Curved Gaming Monitor 120HZ for both work and play. As expander panels get mainstream and some become more affordable, it is now possible to multitask and get the best from your PC than ever before. Design
Alienware as of late invigorated its gaming portfolio plans, and the AW3420DW sports the organization’s new Legend plan, like the lead Alienware Area-51M and 15M PCs, and on the exceptional Aurora R9 desktop The same aesthetic language is also available.
The back of the monitor stand is a masterpiece of design, featuring an oval-shaped RGB light ring with an RGB head on the backside of the display. On the right side of the monitor, you find all the buttons. You have a small stick that allows you to open the full settings menu, there are also three other buttons around the back that you can use to access some quick settings or navigate the main menu. In addition, you can control RGB lighting through the Alienware Control Centre software available after connecting the monitor to your PC via USB.
At long last, on the plan, Alienware worked really hard with Bezels. They are not so thick, in fact, they are less noticeable, but they are definitely there. This all follows the latest Alienware designs we’ve seen in recent years, but we just want them to be short on the bezels here. After all, Alienware is owned by Dell, and if they can have infinite performance on their premium laptop line, then why should its premium gaming monitor have some thick bezels?
Ports
All ports are protected by a light shield that slides out and in place easily. Here you find the right side of the power, HDMI and DisplayPort stand, and the opposite side houses two USB-A ports, with a special USB port to connect your PC to the monitor for lighting control. This is the same port that enables the rest of the USB port on the monitor.
There are additional ports on the bottom of the monitor, including a quick-access USB-A port and a headphone jack. This small space is also illuminated, making it easy to plug peripherals even in a dark room. You will love the many USB ports here, but they will not be enough to meet all our needs.
Nevertheless, to monitor such a value, it is a bit heavy to be limited to a pair of only two display inputs. We expected a second DisplayPort in any event, better actually, even a USB-C association port.
Performance
First things first, the Alienware AW3420DW looks sleek, and it cannot be disputed. It does not matter what content you are seeing on the screen, it can be a working spreadsheet or the latest game, this monitor only removes the class.
Playing the Resident Evil 2 remake is exciting, as the monitor makes zombies – the slow, shaggy, moaning types – unbelievable again. And in a sport that is definitely contrasted with tone and color palette, the scavenger looks amazing, with all its blue color and fluid movement. Simply put, no matter which game you throw on this monitor, it sounds amazing.
The amazing gaming performance is not only due to the 120Hz refresh rate, but it has also been pushed down to just 2ms, meaning that even with the fastest online games, you will not be held back by a mediocre monitor. Here, you have excellent picture quality and fast performance – you have to deal with it which is a high price tag.
In addition to its gaming proof, the Alienware AW3420DW is a G-Sync panel that counts for such a high resolution. In some games like Metro Exodus, you will get around 50 fps, but thanks to G-Sync, everything feels like you’re playing in a native framerate. As long as you have a compatible Nvidia graphics card, G-Sync is basically cheating and that’s what we all like.
When there is no gaming, this monitor will let you do some work on the side. With ultra-resolution, you are able to open two large browser windows side-by-side on your PC without having to alt-tab. You actually make big savings on time, and at this point, we easily recommend an ultrasound monitor to anyone, often with a lot of work that needs to be done on their computer.
Overall, the AW3420DW is a premium ultrasound monitor that is super powerful, providing excellent picture quality – even when most users on a tight budget lock the enticing value of a purchase. More affordable 34-inch options include the LG 34GL750-B and the ASUS ROG Swift PG349Q, of course, you spend less, but you lose with higher resolution and short response rates – both options, respectively. In this way, on the off chance that you don’t need the best and the best consideration about the value, the Alienware AW3420DW offers a strong expression for yourself.
