Logitech G PRO X Gaming Headset (2nd Generation) with Blue Voice, DTS Headphone 7.1 and 50 mm PRO-G Drivers, for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Black

Logitech designed its new Pro Gaming Headset Logitech G Pro X with professionals – and aspiring professionals – in mind. The headset is streamlined, comfortable, and powerful, and most of its additional features are hyper-focused on usability for competitive crowds. Generally, this can prevent more casual viewers from having a look, but the Logitech G Pro X works with any system and costs $ 130: not a budget headset, but not nearly as expensive as some Considering other peripherals.

While the Logitech G Pro X is by no means an ideal headset – it’s hard to get a good fit with it, and the software can be a bit concise – it delivers in every category that matters. The game feels great, the headset is great to wear for hours on end and the mic is surprisingly good, thanks to some neat processing tricks. Logitech G Pro X doesn’t necessarily make you a stronger competitive player, however, it’ll provide you with each tool that you simply got to succeed.

Design

The Pro Gaming Headset Logitech G Pro X will not look like anything Logitech has built before. A metal substructure supports 2 black plastic ear cups, each with a silver circle with the G logo outwardly. The headband features lots of padding and elaborate stitching to stay everything in place. The two stretch wires connect the headband to the ear cups, giving the Logitech G Pro X a form of business feel. Overall, the headset looks sufficiently iconic to wear wherever you like but is inventive enough to differentiate itself from the rest of the crowd.

The Logitech G Pro X tournament can be a boon for players, but I see a lot of potential for up-and-coming streamers, who are not yet ready to invest in a large, expensive setup. One thing you have just noticed is that the G Pro X offers a ton of options, depending on how you want to wear and use it. You can connect it to devices via a 3.5-millimeter audio jack, or use an included mic/audio splitter for gaming PCs.

You can also connect the headset to a USB adapter, which you need if you want to take advantage of the software. The flexible mic is fully separable, and you can swap the ear cups between leather and foam. It is hard to imagine a gamer for whom the Logitech G Pro X would not feel comfortable, or would work with that person’s existing hardware setup.

My only quibble here is that switching between foam and leather ear cups is almost more trouble than it is worth. The tight fit and forgiving connections make it a challenge for the most agile-high audiophiles. This problem is by no means unique to the Logitech G Pro X – it is even more difficult to do on some audio headphones – but you don’t want to switch back and forth any more often than you do.

Comfort

Whether you go with foam or leather ear cups, the Pro Gaming Headset Logitech G Pro X is a joy to wear. (I went with foam; the sound quality isn’t quite good, but it’s not nearly as hot, either.) The ear cups gently rest on the ears, even if you wear glasses, and the device weighs a lot. Less is manageable 11.3 oz.

However, to be comfortable, you also need to get the Logitech G Pro X to be the right fit, which is not nearly as easy. The headset is a bit stiff to adjust while staying on your head, which leads to a frustrating process of taking it away and trying over and over. There are marked marks, which make it easy to measure and maintain your position, but it is still very difficult to find a fit that actually works, as does one of a kind.

A colleague of mine also spends some time with the Logitech G Pro X headset, and he usually shares his part with me on this. They thought the headset was light and felt comfortable, even though it was a bit tight. He also preferred the Foam Year Cup, which is worth it.

Gaming Performance

As the Pro Gaming Headset Logitech G Pro X is considered a tournament-ready headset, it was important to see how well it performed with competing genres such as FPS and RTS. In Overwatch, I could hear an active cry for each ability, the direction of each enemy’s attack, and the satisfying pulse of bullets from each weapon. In Age of Empress: Definitive Edition, every battle alarm was punctured loudly and clearly, by the clump of swords and the trumpets of elephants of war. The G Pro X provides a refined, nuanced sound that complements competitive gameplay.

But it’s not on any of the title titles, either. Orchestral score at Baldur’s Gate: Siege of Dragon sphere is well balanced against my party members, and the sound effects and voice work came out loud and clear in World of Warcraft. (This headset can be especially helpful for MMOs, think of this as Mike is quite good. There will be a great deal of on it soon).

While the G Pro X is primarily a PC headset, I also had good experiences playing Final Fantasy VII on the Switch to PS4 and the genesis of Assassin’s Creed. Thanks to its 3.5 mm audio jack, the headset works with any system. This is a good thing if you don’t have a strong preference between PC and console gaming.

Features

The audio cord in the Pro Gaming Headset Logitech G Pro X has been reduced to about half the volume dial and mic mute buttons. I asked a Logitech engineer why the corporate went with this design rather than the ear cup volume dial. He replies that the pro players like it there, although there is no real mechanical reason for their preference; This is just something they are used to doing.

The biggest innovation of the Logitech G Pro X, however, is blue voice processing for its mic. If you install the Logitech G Hub software, you can turn on a filter, courtesy of high-end audio company Blue. It will use software rendering to clarify your voice, with a variety of equation options.

In Overwatch, I could hear an active cry for each ability, the direction of each enemy’s attack, and the satisfying pulse of bullets from every weapon.

On their own, Mike is fine. It recorded my voice clearly, without any fuzz, and with enough volume. But it also looked quite flat and blurred. This is where Blue Voice functionality comes in. You activate Blue Voice, then select what kind of voice you want – a high and soft voice, a low and high voice, or anything in between – then present what you say to the G Hub software. in real-time.

With Blue Voice activated, my recording did not achieve podcast-level quality, but the sound was not that far-fetched, either. The Logitech G Pro X tournament can be a boon for players, but I see a lot of potential for up-and-streamers who are not yet ready to invest in a large, expensive setup.

Music Performance

One thing I’ve particularly appreciated about the Logitech G Pro X is that it doesn’t skimp on music performance like a lot of gaming headsets – surprisingly in this price range. The tone can be a bit brittle, but since you can also toy around with equivalent settings, this is not a problem. Otherwise, the treble, bass, and vocals all combined together to create a well-balanced, enjoyable soundscape. If it is not “rich” at all, it is not far away.

I played Fogging Molly, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Rolling Stones, and G.F. Handel, at home and on the go, and I was very happy that the sound quality on all the counts was something you’d hear on a decent, cheap pair of audio headphones. However, keep in mind that the Logitech G Pro X ear cups are not flat, so it is a bit difficult to transport the headset, as it can be.

Our Rating | Excellent

If you’re a competitive PC gamer, choose the Logitech G Pro X, a surround sound Pro gaming headset, to spare $ 130. If you can live without fancy mic features, then a competitive $ 100 headset should work fine.

Pros

  • Excellent sound quality
  • Versatile
  • Comfortable build
  • Useful Mic Features

Cons

  • Hard to get a good fit
  • Not easily portable

Conclusion

The Pro Gaming Headset Logitech G Pro X looks great, looks attractive, and offers many useful features. The headset is well suited to the up-and-coming tournament player but is also fully comfortable and functional if you want to sit at home and immerse yourself in a single-player session. At $ 130, it is slightly more expensive than comparable models such as the SteelSeries Arctis 5 or the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition but is a lot more handsome and possibly more feature-rich.

The Logitech G Pro X is an easy recommendation, as long as you’re willing to spend $ 30 more than most headset manufacturers, ask for such a gadget. But what you get in return is more than the price of admission
