Design

The Pro Gaming Headset Logitech G Pro X will not look like anything Logitech has built before. A metal substructure supports 2 black plastic ear cups, each with a silver circle with the G logo outwardly. The headband features lots of padding and elaborate stitching to stay everything in place. The two stretch wires connect the headband to the ear cups, giving the Logitech G Pro X a form of business feel. Overall, the headset looks sufficiently iconic to wear wherever you like but is inventive enough to differentiate itself from the rest of the crowd.

The Logitech G Pro X tournament can be a boon for players, but I see a lot of potential for up-and-coming streamers, who are not yet ready to invest in a large, expensive setup. One thing you have just noticed is that the G Pro X offers a ton of options, depending on how you want to wear and use it. You can connect it to devices via a 3.5-millimeter audio jack, or use an included mic/audio splitter for gaming PCs.

You can also connect the headset to a USB adapter, which you need if you want to take advantage of the software. The flexible mic is fully separable, and you can swap the ear cups between leather and foam. It is hard to imagine a gamer for whom the Logitech G Pro X would not feel comfortable, or would work with that person’s existing hardware setup.

My only quibble here is that switching between foam and leather ear cups is almost more trouble than it is worth. The tight fit and forgiving connections make it a challenge for the most agile-high audiophiles. This problem is by no means unique to the Logitech G Pro X – it is even more difficult to do on some audio headphones – but you don’t want to switch back and forth any more often than you do.

Comfort

Whether you go with foam or leather ear cups, the Pro Gaming Headset Logitech G Pro X is a joy to wear. (I went with foam; the sound quality isn’t quite good, but it’s not nearly as hot, either.) Features

The audio cord in the Pro Gaming Headset Logitech G Pro X has been reduced to about half the volume dial and mic mute buttons. Handel, at home and on the go, and I was very happy that the sound quality on all the counts was something you’d hear on a decent, cheap pair of audio headphones. However, keep in mind that the Logitech G Pro X ear cups are not flat, so it is a bit difficult to transport the headset, as it can be.
