Sceptre Curved 24-inch Gaming Monitor 1080p R1500 98% sRGB HDMI x2 VGA Build-in Speakers, VESA Wall Mount Machine Black (C248W-1920RN Series)

The Best 75Hz Gaming Monitor Sceptre C248W-1920RN is a bent 24-inch FHD (1,920-by-1,080) intended for easy going gamers or clients who invest equivalent energy dealing with work area PCs and PC PCs. Although we haven’t recently reviewed the Samsung CRG9 49-inch Curved Ultrawide monitor, the C248W is a much more conventional monitor than that super-ultrawide behemoth.

Its resolution and refresh rate are common among 24-inch gaming monitors, but its appearance is unique, and actually looks expensive at its cost.

It does a good job of displaying both games and videos in standard definition, a step above 60Hz on most budget monitors, thanks to a VA panel with a decent colour gamut and a 75Hz refresh rate. It lacks advanced colour adjustments but is still one of the tops budget gaming monitors. The C248W-1920RN stands out, however, for a winning mixture of options and performance at its price.

Design

With its super thin bezels and silver bureau, the Best 75Hz Gaming Monitor Sceptre C248W-1920RN will look great in any work area. The cabinet is supported by a stand consisting of a circular-shaped base and a cylindrical arm, but lacks height, swivel, and spindle adjustments, with only the ability to tilt.

The curved 24-inch VA panel resolution mazes at 1,920-by-8080 and has a 16: 9 aspect ratio, meaning that it doesn’t have to struggle to display full HD (1080p) video. Other features include a 5-microsecond gray-to-gray (G-to-G) response time, 250 LCD / m2 peak brightness, 75 Hz refresh rate, 1800 R curve ratio, and a 3 M: 1 contrast ratio; All generic in the sub- $ 250 price point.

Inputs And Presets

On the rear of the Sceptre C248W-1920RN monitor, there is an HDMI port, a VGA, a headphone jack, and a DC connector. There are four VESA mount holes if you need to hang a monitor on the wall or need a custom stand for a dual monitor setup. There are still five small function buttons on the left side (if you’re looking at them from the back).

The on-screen menu offers a good selection of picture settings, although it does not give you the advanced six-colour adjustments you would find in a more expensive gaming monitor such as the Asus ROG Swift PG258Q. For adjustment, the standard-setting gives the best overall picture, as the rest of the options are either too dark or too bright.

Performance

The Sceptre bills the Best 75Hz Gaming Monitor C248W-1920RN as a gaming monitor, but is more or less a productivity monitor that can be used for casual gaming. With the recent overtake of the powerful Nvidia GeForce 10-Series and 2019-released RTX 20-Series graphics cards, a 75Hz resolution monitor would not be the best. With this type of GPU, you need a 144Hz monitor and above, out of which you have options like the 27-inch ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q (2560 x 1440 resolution) or the Acer Predator X27 (3840 x 2160 resolution), 4ms response rate, with both high refresh rates.

For casual gaming and day-to-day use, the Best 75Hz Gaming Monitor C248W performs well, displays great 1080p video and other content at a 5ms refresh rate, and VA panel technology produces vibrant colours. Viewing-angles are good for 24-inch monitors (not the best, though) there is a slight colour shifting when viewed from any angle.

The panel does a good job displaying fast-moving objects, though you’ll find some lag in modern games at higher resolutions. The info slack (the time it takes for the screen to react to the regulator order) came in at a great 13.7 milliseconds, not a long way from the opposition.

Gaming Performance

The 5-millisecond (gray-to-gray) pixel response and 75Hz peak refresh rate in the Sceptre C248W-1920RN specs is not enough for many games, but it is also not the worst. I saw screen tearing while playing GTA V on PC and Fallout on Xbox 360.

Many gamers will be hard-pressed to find graphic games to handle 5K gaming, especially with the release of the Pascal-based Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphic card. If you need to enjoy smooth gaming, Acer Predator XB271HK offers some good features that gamers will love.

The Best 75Hz Gaming Monitor Sceptre C248W-1920RN monitor’s 12.8-millisecond input interval (the time taken for the monitor to react to controller commands) is significantly shorter, although it does not beat the 10.6-millisecond standard for most budget monitors. We have the fastest 9.5 millisecond SW700PT ever.

The screen burns through around 37 watts of force, while set in text mode and 33 watts while set in film mode and an irrelevant 32.7 watts in power save mode.
