Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero Wireless PC Gaming Headset
The Wireless PC Gaming Headset Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero ($ 150) is one of the Best Gaming Headsets. It is comfortable and customizable and provides first-rate sound. And while $ 150 is significantly more money than its wired counterpart, it’s a much higher rate for midrange wireless PC headsets. Elite Atlas Aero provides wireless sound on PCs and, as a brand new bonus, it works wirelessly with PS4s and docked switches, or in wired configurations with undocked configurations and Xbox Ones.
The headset has some minor flaws. Putting two different volume dials right next to each other was probably not the best idea, and the software focuses too much on power users at the expense of everyday fans. But if you get a $ 150 rebate and need to free your PC from the tyranny of wires, the Elite Atlas Aero is also a powerful choice.

Design
The Elite Atlas looks like a slightly improved version of the Aero Elite Atlas, which is fitting. You still got the sturdy black plastic chassis with a flexible metal headband and two large foam ear cups. This time around, however, there are adjustable rods on the ear cups, not on top of them. It’s a bit harder to describe, but the bottom line is that the headset is a little easier to adjust to get a good fit – and it’s a little easier to accidentally take it out of whack.

This over standard appendage is where you’ll find the mic volume and audio volume dial (right next to each other, you’re guaranteed to toggle the wrong switch at least once), power button, micro-USB charging port, 3.5. -Millimeter audio jack and a removable mic port.
There is additionally a mic mute button outside the ear cup and a programmable extra button between the power button and therefore the volume dial. Ear cups are very luxurious.
I handed Aero to a co worker, who completely agreed with me. He thought they were feeling the light, considering their size, and also loved how ear cups were. Given how much praise the office had for the original Elite Atlas, this is not surprising.
Performance
Elite Atlas Aero is primarily a Wireless PC Gaming Headset. With PC, you get full wireless connectivity, on-year volume control, programmable settings, equalization options, and above. As such, I focused most of my attention on PC games: Overwatch, Age of Mythology: Gradfall, Extended Edition, and Final Fantasy XIV.
Across the board, the sound quality was over the top. Activating supernatural hearing and surround sound in Overwatch helped me hear where my enemies were coming from. Going back to stereo sound for Final Fantasy XIV and GreedFall helped me enjoy the orchestral soundtrack and search-related dialogue. Soundscape felt balanced in Edge of Mythology, focusing me on building an army and attacking enemy strongholds.
It is also worth noting that while the Elite Atlas Aero is not optimized for other consoles, it works fine with them. You can use it wirelessly with a PS4 or docked switch; In fact, with the docked switch, you can also use the volume dial, as I learned to my delight during a basement crawl in Link’s Awakening.
You can also use a 3.5-mm audio connection to plug in an Xbox One controller, undocked switch, or mobile phone. My only complaint here was that the included mic in the included cable often rubbed against my shirt, causing some unpleasant reactions. But for $ 150, you’ll have a headset that works with each system you own, half the time wirelessly, and that is not too shabby.
Features
The Wireless PC Gaming Headset Elite Atlas Aero runs on the robust Turtle Beach Control Studio software (on PCs, at least. You won’t be able to access all these fancy options for console play). Here you can toggle similar options, reprogram buttons, tweaked surround sound, and set up profiles for individual games.
First of all, the program has a ton of audio options at your disposal. You can adjust choices for volume, game/chat balance, mic pickup, 3D sound, equalization settings, macros, and more. By extension every option will take too long; Suffice it to say that audiophiles will probably find exactly what they are looking for, while more casual fans can simply twist some settings and hit the ground running.
In fact, I wish there were some more presets for fans who don’t want to spend too much time setting up their profiles. While the 3D sound setting has options for movies and music in addition to games, stereo presets are beautiful: bass and treble boost, or a flat profile. It seems almost hard to ask for more options in a piece of software that is already jam-packed with them, but I’d much rather have an EQ profile designed by a pro who would rather build themselves from scratch tries to.
There’s also the mic, which is crisp and clear: perfect for competitive sports, discard chat rooms, or else you prefer to communicate online.
Performance
Whether you’re listening to music via a USB dongle or 3.5-mm cord, the quality of the music is surprisingly good. The bass is strong (sometimes a rarity in gaming headsets), the vocals and instruments are balanced, and the soundtrack is rich, whether you prefer listening with stereo or 3D sound. I played Fogging Molly, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Rolling Stones and G.F. Sampled tracks from. Handel, and Elite Atlas Aero, enriched and enlivened each artist.

The Elite is not the last word in the Atlas Aero Wireless PC Gaming Headset, but it is very close. Despite the congested ear cups and software shortcomings, the headset is extremely comfortable, feels great, and works well with various platforms. It is hard to ask for more than this.
In the same price range, it is worth checking out the $ 150 SteelSeries Arctis 7, which offers similar features with a slightly more comfortable fit. But the Elite Atlas Aero is a good reminder of how the Turtle Beach gaming headset became such a powerhouse in space.
